We started manufacturing precision-engineered components for industries like robotics, IoT, aerospace, and automotive. By collaborating with partners across the country, we consistently delivered quality at competitive costs.
But one challenge kept slowing us down - not the machines, but everything before and after production.
The real delays came from tasks around production: CAD design, BOM preparation, RFQs, supplier onboarding, DFM checks, and more.
We named this invisible challenge Non-Manufacturing Time - the hours lost in coordination, communication, and logistics outside actual machining.
To solve this at scale, a small growth team within Karkhana.io began exploring a new, tech-first direction: Kkonnect.io.

Customers loved submitting RFQs to a central hub and receiving multiple types of quotes - instant, direct, or through our team.
Suppliers listed themselves in the directory, opened new customer channels, and managed all RFQs from one place.
Clean UIs, dashboards, and cloud-first tools created real excitement - yet the time savings were still limited.
One tool stood out: the Costing Engine.
It delivered instant cycle time estimates, material-based costing, DFM checks, and manufacturing recommendations.
People used it, liked it, and kept coming back. Webinars filled up, exhibition booths stayed crowded, and numbers proved its value.

The Costing Engine showed us the path forward. Costing and DFM were just the start.
